Longtime Democrat Staffer Not Prosecuted By DOJ After Defacing MTG Posters Outside Capitol Office

On Monday, Just the News reported that the Capitol police had caught longtime Democrat staffer Timothy Duane Hysom, the chief of staff for Representative Jake Auchincloss of Massachusetts and former staffer for Representative Adam Schiff of California, defacing posters of Georgia Representative Marjorie Taylor Greene outside her office.

The Capitol Police referred the Democrat staffer for criminal charges, but the Department of Justice has refused to prosecute even though the defacing was seen via security camera footage.

The police report stated that “Officers on scene discovered a poster located in the hallway immediately outside the office of House Representative Marjorie Taylor Greene had been defaced with a sticker that was approximately the size of an 8.5” x 11” piece of paper.”

This incident, which occurred on January 24, was just the first in a string of vandalizations that continued through February and into March after the Capitol Police installed a security camera to try to catch the vandal.

Following the installation, the Capitol Police caught the former Schiff staffer on March 11 but only a few hours later another defacing incident occurred with the police report stating that “An 8.5” x 11” sticker that read “True Disciples of Christ don’t say the thing you say, act the way you act, and treat people the way you treat people” was affixed on the poster.”

After multiple defacings by the Democrat staffer on Representative Greene’s office property, the Capitol Police stated that he “did violate DC Code § 22–3312.01 Defacing Public or Private Property.”

Currently, the Department of Justice is pursuing charges against many individuals who entered the Capitol on January 6, 2021. The same DOJ is refusing to prosecute a staffer who vandalized the property of a Republican legislator.

Similarly, last week staffers from “The Late Show with Stephen Colbert” were charged with unlawful entry into an office building of the House of Representatives.

With those charged for entering the Capitol on January 6 facing considerable charges and jail time, it appears that Democrat staffers and those friendly to the Democrat party are getting off easy on their various violations of the law in the Capitol complex.
