‘Pray For Our Country’: Donald Trump Makes Urgent Call Amid Potential Looming Indictment

In a recent interview, 45th President Donald Trump called upon the nation to pray for the country following news of a potential looming indictment of him from Manhattan District Attorney Alvin Bragg (D). A potential indictment would be the first time in American history that a former president has been prosecuted.

When asked what Americans should pray for, Trump said that Christians should “pray for the country.”

“Well the best thing you can do for me is to pray for our country and the safety of our country because as I just said, the danger that we are in now is greater than any danger we’ve ever had,” Trump began. “We have no leader. We are not a respected country by these other very hostile countries, in some cases very hostile.”

“I think the greatest thing that I could ask for is a prayer for our country, for our safety,” he said. “We have to get through this period of time. This has been a horrible period of time for the United States of America.”

“Leadership has taken us in many many bad directions. We are a failing nation. We are right now a failing nation,” the 45th president emphasized. “So the most important thing I believe that we can do right now is to pray for the safety, security, and the success, and future success of our country. That would be the thing that I’d ask you to pray for.”

Evangelist Franklin Graham called for similar prayers on Sunday, as previously reported by the DC Enquirer.

FRANKLIN GRAHAM SENDS POWERFUL MESSAGE IN RESPONSE TO NEWS OF POTENTIAL TRUMP INDICTMENT

“We need to pray for our country and where it is headed,” Graham wrote. “The left in Washington and across the country just can’t get their fill of attacking Donald Trump.”

“They are so paranoid of him. The onslaught against him is continual,” he explained. “There’s no question, the media, and the left manipulated the last election, and they are scared to death of Donald Trump’s possible return. So, night after night, the media runs negative stories about former President Trump.”

“Now they’re talking about the possibility of arresting him in the hopes that this would prevent him from running for president again—this would be a huge mistake,” the evangelist emphasized. “The charges against him are definitely politically motivated.”

“I would like to ask Christians across this country to pray specifically for former President Donald J. Trump, that God’s hand would be upon him, protect him, and direct him in every step he takes—and that God’s will be done,” he wrote, adding, “We need to work together to strengthen this nation—not divide and destroy it.”

President Trump emphasized Graham’s message on Truth Social on Monday by reposting it to his account.

This is a very trying and tumultuous time for the country and prayer is perhaps one of the only ways that the country can be made whole again.
