Who Do You Want to Be Trump’s Vice President for 2024? New CPAC Poll Shows Stunning Results

On Saturday, the Conservative Political Action Conference (CPAC) held its famous straw polls to determine the presidential and vice presidential contenders who are most popular amongst the grassroots. Amongst vice presidential candidates, some prominent names led the pack.

Former Republican Arizona gubernatorial candidate Kari Lake led the pack with 20 percent support from the conservatives present at CPAC.

In second place was Governor Ron DeSantis (R-FL) with 14 percent support while former U.N. Ambassador and announced Republican 2024 candidate won 10 percent of the vote.

Meanwhile, the other Republican candidate who has announced their run, businessman Vivek Ramaswamy, won six percent of the vote. Former Secretary of State Mike Pompeo also received six percent of the vote.

No other candidate won over five percent of the vote. Those that were also mentioned in the poll include: Governor Kristi Noem (R-SD) with five percent, Senator Rand Paul (R-KY) with four percent, Governor Glenn Youghkin (R-VA) with four percent, Senator Tim Scott (R-SC) with four percent, Senator Ted Cruz (R-TX) with three percent, former Secretary of Housing and Urban Development Ben Carson with three percent, and 21 percent supported other candidates.

WINNING: TRUMP WINS CPAC STRAW POLL BY MASSIVE 42 POINT LANDSLIDE, PROVING WHO LEADS THE GOP

As previously reported by the DC Enquirer, the presidential straw poll showed President Trump dominating his potential opponents with a huge double-digit lead over the second-place contender.

Trump came in first place, of course, with 62 percent. Florida Governor Ron DeSantis came in second place with 20 percent, 42 points behind Trump.

Businessman Perry Johnson came in third place with five percent. Former U.N. Ambassador Nikki Haley came in fourth place with three percent. And the remaining candidates came in with 10% combined.

With it apparent that President Trump enjoys massive support amongst the Republican grassroots, the polling for the vice presidency is just as important. With DeSantis and Haley, both potential Republican challengers, reaching the top of the list, they would be potentially strong vice presidential picks to win more moderate Republicans.

Then again, Kari Lake as Trump’s vice president would be a bold move and it is clear that she enjoys considerable support amongst the America First movement. Either way, Trump has continued to dominate the grassroots and the selection of his vice president will be an important decision that will impact the 2024 election.
