A new poll released just before the State of the Union speech from President Joe Biden has revealed that the incumbent Democrat’s support within his own party has utterly collapsed. The new poll from The Associated Press-NORC Center for Public Affairs Research shows that in spite of his insistence on a 2024 run, his position may no longer be tenable.

The AP-NORC poll revealed that Biden only has support from 37 percent of Democrats for a second term which has decreased precipitously from the 52 percent high prior to the 2021 midterms.

Although Biden has boasted of legislative ‘victories’ and emphasized his ability to govern the nation, the poll results have shown that the American people aren’t expressing confidence in either.

NEW POLL SHOWS SHOCKING REJECTION OF BIDEN FOR 2024 BY OWN PARTY WHILE MAJORITY OF REPUBLICANS WANT TRUMP

According to the AP, many respondents have suggested that the 80-year-old man’s age, health, stumbling walk, and constant gaffes indicate that the job might be fitter for a younger man.

Thirty-Seven-year-old North Carolina Democrat Sarah Overman told the AP, “I, honestly, think that he would be too old. We could use someone younger in the office.”

According to the poll, the American people by and large have little faith in Biden’s capabilities. Only 9% of those polled have a great deal of confidence he can work with a GOP-controlled Congress. Thirteen percent are very confident he can accomplish major policy goals. Only 21% have a great deal of confidence he can handle a crisis, 25% say he can effectively manage the military and only 23% are confident he can actually manage his own White House.

Only 22 percent of Americans overall are saying that Biden should run again, down from 29 percent before the midterms. The AP reports the decline seems to be centered around younger voters, particularly voters under 45 years old where the drop has been drastic, from 45% to 23%.

Only 25% of Americans polled feel the country is headed in the right direction whilst 73% believe we are headed in the wrong direction. This bad news comes as Biden suffers from a 41% approval rating.

A new CNN poll shared by RNC Research showed that “a record number of Americans say they are financially worse off under Joe Biden.”
