‘Bragg Should Be Held Accountable’: President Trump Blasts Manhattan D.A., Calls on NYPD to Endorse Him in New Statement

On Sunday, 45th President Donald Trump blasted the Manhattan District Attorney Alvin Bragg (D) who is currently leading a case against him, and claimed that Bragg is breaking the law via election interference. The 45th president also called upon the New York Police Department to endorse him given the high crime in New York City partly caused by Bragg’s lack of enforcement.

“It is the district attorney of Manhattan who is breaking the law by using the fake and fully discredited testimony (even by the SDNY!) of a convicted liar, felon, and jailbird, Michael Cohen, to incredibly persecute, prosecute, and indict a former president, and now leading (by far!) presidential candidate, for a crime that doesn’t exist,” Trump wrote, adding, “Alvin Bragg should be held accountable for the crime of ‘interference in a presidential election.'”

Bragg is attempting to charge Trump with an illegal election contribution via a $130,000 payment paid to Stormy Daniels based on the word of the disgraced lawyer, and convicted liar, Michael Cohen. Cohen, Trump’s former lawyer, pleaded guilty in 2018 to federal charges including five counts of tax invasion, one count of willfully causing an unlawful corporate contribution, and one count of making an excessive campaign contribution at the request of a candidate. In addition, Cohen was charged with lying to Congress.

“Can you imagine the great New York City Police Department, correctly referred to as ‘New York City’s Finest,’ who, for the first and only time in history, endorsed a president, me, & honored me as ‘man of the year,’ having to defend & protect the ‘defunders’ & ‘cop haters’ of the radical left that want to put their greatest champion & friend in prison for a crime that doesn’t exist,” Trump continued. “All the while the Soros-backed D.A. allows murderers & other violent criminals to freely roam the sidewalks of N.Y.?”

As Bragg continues to go after the 45th president, crime rates within the city he is supposed to serve have skyrocketed.

As reported by The New York Post earlier this year, 172,852 felony crimes took place in 2022, making it the highest level of such crime in the city since at least 2006. In comparison, the number of felony crimes in the city in 2021 was 143,522, an increase of over 20 percent year-over-year. 2006, when the data was first recorded, saw 171,318 felony crimes.

Making matters worse is the hundreds of police officers who are resigning from NYPD in recent years.

According to a new report from The New York Post, a staggering 239 officers left the force in January and February, marking a 36 percent spike from the previous year’s numbers. Compared to 2021, resignations have seen a shocking 117 percent increase from the 110 officers who left the force that year.

The staggering loss of personnel is the worst in over 15 years when 250 officers left the force within the two first months of the year back in 2007. However, back then they weren’t leaving due to high crime, it was instead a contract dispute with city officials.

These rising crime rates, however, are possibly not an accident given Bragg’s progressive tendencies and support from left-wing billionaire George Soros.

As previously reported by the DC Enquirer, Bragg has received ample funding from Soros who is infamous for funding progressive district attorneys across the country that refuses to prosecute low-level crime. 

Bragg was funded by Soros via the Color of Change PAC, the “nation’s largest online racial justice organization”, which was given $1 million in May 2021 from Soros, gave $1 million to Bragg, but later pulled back half of the donation.

Bragg should focus more on serving his own city than conducting a political witch hunt against a former president and leading 2024 presidential contender.
