On Saturday, the 23-year-old child, Jared Dowell, of Rep. Katherine Clark (D-MA), a prominent Democrat who holds the title of minority whip in the House, was arrested for partaking in vandalism of a statue in Boston writing “NO COP CITY” and “ACAB” or “All Cops Are Bastards” on the Parkman Bandstand.

“At about 9:30 PM, on Saturday, January 21, 2021, officers assigned to District A-1 (Downtown) responded to a call for a protest at the Parkman Bandstand Monument located within the Boston Common, 139 Tremont Street,” wrote the Boston Police Department on Facebook.

“Upon arrival, officers observed an individual defacing the monument with spray paint,” the department stated. “The tagging read “NO COP CITY” and “ACAB”. The suspect was later identified as Jared Dowell, 23, of Melrose.”

“During the arrest of Jared Dowell, a group of about 20 protesters began to surround officers while screaming profanities though megaphones on the public street causing traffic to come to a standstill,” Boston PD wrote. “While interfering with the arrest of Jared Dowell, an officer was hit in the face and could be seen bleeding from the nose and mouth.”

According to the police, Dowell was charged with “Assault by Means of a Dangerous Weapon, Destruction or Injury of Personal Property and Damage of Property by Graffiti/Tagging. Dowell is expected to be arraigned in Boston Municipal Court.”

In response to the arrest, Rep. Clark posted to Twitter to break the news about her son who identified as transgender and goes by “Riley.”

“Last night, my daughter was arrested in Boston, Massachusetts. I love Riley, and this is a very difficult time in the cycle of joy and pain in parenting,” she tweeted, adding, “This will be evaluated by the legal system, and I am confident in that process.”

Twitter users were quick to give their blunt and honest reactions to the representative with independent journalist Andy Ngo writing, “You should rethink what radical ideologies you’ve nurtured around your children that allowed at least one to become an alleged violent extremist. Judging by your past tweets, you’ve embraced trans radicalism.”

“So you taught your kid to destroy property and assault cops? You shouldn’t be in any kind of leadership position,” wrote comedian Tim Young.

The 23-year-old clearly inherited his ideology from his mother and his actions do not garner a good reputation for the prominent Democrat.
