DeSantis Says Florida Has The Funds To Bus Illegal Immigrants Out Of State

Florida Governor Ron DeSantis is planning on transporting illegal immigrants, which the Biden Administration placed in Florida, out of the state.

According to a spokesperson for DeSantis’ office who spoke to a Newsmax reporter, DeSantis is including the transportation of illegal immigrants in his budget recommendations. And the legislature’s budget proposal is including $12 million for the Florida Department of Transportation to transport migrants outside the state.

As reported by Newsmax, the spokesperson said, “the legislature delivered on this priority, along with many of the governor’s other priorities to protect Floridians from the harmful impacts of the Biden border crisis.”

The governor’s office is also considering sending immigrants to progressive states. DeSantis proposed sending them to Delaware, Biden’s home state, as well as Martha’s Vineyard, Massachusetts.

The office also said that sending illegal immigrants to “other ‘progressive’ states whose governors endorse blatant violations of federal immigration law” is another option.

“It is not the responsibility of Floridians to subsidize aliens to reside in our state unlawfully; we did not consent to Biden’s open-borders agenda,” the governor’s office added.

Once Governor DeSantis signs the new budget bill before July 1st, the funds appropriated for transporting immigrants will be accessible by the state.
