Former President Donald Trump laid heavy criticism on President Joe Biden in a post to Truth Social following revelations that Biden’s aides uncovered classified documents illegally stored at his old civilian office at the Penn Biden Center.

In the Wednesday post, he pointed out that the Penn Biden Center was funded to the tune of $55 million by China.

“Biden’s documents are HIGHLY CONFIDENTIAL, many pertain to UKRAINE, where Hunter was ‘raking in the dough,’ and FUNDED BY CHINA, which gave $55 Million to Biden, through Penn, and probably had easy access. Was the Old Crow’s boss, China loving Coco Chow, involved? Just asking?”

Tom Anderson, director of the Government Integrity Project at the National Legal and Policy Center described the Penn Biden Center as a “dark-money, revolving-door nightmare where foreign competitors like China donated millions of dollars to the university so that they could have access to future high-ranking officials.”

Public records cited by the Post revealed that UPenn received $54.6 million in Chinese donations between 2014 and 2019. A majority of the donations reportedly came after the university announced in Feb. 2017 that the center would be named for Biden at the end of his term as VP. In addition to being the titular leader of the think-tank, Biden would also be named as an accredited professor.

Several members of the Biden administration have also previously held roles on the center’s staff such as Michael Carpenter, the US ambassador to the Organization for Security and Cooperation in Europe, Secretary of State Antony Blinken, and National Security Director for the Western Hemisphere Juan Sebastian Gonzalez, according to The New York Post.

“The Penn Biden Center has never solicited or received any gifts from any Chinese or other foreign entity in fact, the University has never solicited any gifts for the Center. Since its inception in 2017 there have been three unsolicited gifts (from two donors) which combined total $1,100. Both donors are Americans. One hundred percent of the budget for the Penn Biden Center comes from university funds,” a spokesman for the University of Pennsylvania claimed.
