Don’t Bite the Hand That Feeds You: Communist China Sends Threatening Message to Elon Musk For Supporting Covid Lab Leak Theory

The Communist Party of China via their media mouthpiece Global Times has put the free-speech advocating CEO of Twitter Elon Musk on notice essentially not to bite the hand that feeds him. Musk’s Tesla owns and operates a manufacturing center or “Gigafactory” producing 20,000 units per week in Shanghai.

Musk earned the ire of Beijing when he commented on a weekend post from “Kanekoa The Great,” questioning whether the now-retired Chief Medical Advisor to President Joe Biden, Dr. Anthony Fauci, contributed to the creation of the COVID-19 virus, according to Breitbart.

Kanekoa The Great tweeted a video focused on Fauci’s Congressional testimonies and subsequent news reports contradicting them Sunday with a caption asking:

“Dr. Anthony Fauci funded gain-of-function research at the Wuhan lab, lied to Congress about it, and now both the FBI & the Department of Energy have concluded that the coronavirus originated at the Wuhan lab. Does that mean Dr. Anthony Fauci funded the development of COVID-19?”

Musk replied to the tweet saying, “He did it via a pass-through organization (EcoHealth).”

The Chinese Communist Party responded via its propaganda arm on the state-run social media platform ‘Wei Xin’ characterizing him as seeking to engender himself to “Right wing forces” in the U.S. The post is titled “Musk, are you smashing China’s pot?” a Chinese metaphor analogous to ‘biting the hand that feeds you.’

Geng Zhi of the Times wrote,

“Although even American scientists and virologists despise their politicians for their political interference and even distorting science, under the hype of the American “Wall Street Journal” and a group of American right-wing anti-intellectual and anti-China media, And under the instigation of the right-wing conservatives of the US Republican Party who control the US House of Representatives and are eager to gain support and attention by attacking China, this matter is currently continuing to ferment in the US public opinion field.

Even Elon Musk, the boss of Tesla, a well-known American electric car brand, is now involved.”

He added, “It is worth mentioning here that although some people may think that Musk made these remarks only to attack Fauci and did not directly name “China”, the posts he reposted when he made these remarks, and the posts he reposted Those American right-wing big Vs are almost all linking the source of the new crown virus to China. At the same time, these remarks of his have been continuously used by those US right-wing and anti-China media hostile to China as material to frame China.”

‘WE ARE ON A DANGEROUS PATH’: REPUBLICAN REP. SLAMS BIDEN FOR BEING SOFT ON CHINA

Following Wall Street Journal reports of the U.S. Department of Energy confirming, though with “low confidence”, that COVID-19 likely originated from the Wuhan Institute of Virology in China, the analysis was lent greater credibility by public confirmation from FBI Director Christopher Wray.

“The FBI has for quite some time now assessed that the origins of the pandemic are most likely a potential lab incident in Wuhan,” Wray said according to Fox News. “Here you are talking about a potential leak from a Chinese government-controlled lab.”

He added, “I will just make the observation that the Chinese government, it seems to me, has been doing its best to try to thwart and obfuscate the work here, the work that we’re doing, the work that our U.S. government and close foreign partners are doing. And that’s unfortunate for everybody.”
