On Friday, celebrity James Woods joined ‘Tucker Carlson Tonight’ to discuss the recent reveal, via internal documents shared by Matt Taibbi, that his tweets were censored by Twitter.

In what Taibbi has called “THE TWITTER FILES,” the journalist highlighted how Twitter reviewed tweets at the behest of the Democrat National Committee (DNC) via an email exchange with Twitter employees, per Fox News. Taibbi explained that “Celebrities and unknowns alike could be removed or reviewed at the behest of a political party.”

One of the accounts asked to be reviewed by the DNC was from James Woods’ official account which subsequently led to its censorship with the Twitter employee replying to the DNC request with the following: “I grabbed the first one under SI…defer to Safety on the high profile second one.”

As the revelations from the Twitter Files began to explode across the internet, Woods joined Tucker Carlson to discuss the censorship of his tweet.

“Twitter at the pressure of Democrats deleted a tweet from legendary actor James Woods,” Tucker explained on his Friday night show. “[he] strayed outside the lines by criticizing Hunter Biden. The DNC, this was before the last election, told Twitter to take it down. So they did.”

“I am not surprised at all. I am shocked.” Woods explained when asked whether he would have expected that he was censored at the behest of the DNC. “I’ve been a target of these people for six years. They have destroyed my career. They have destroyed my livelihood. They have destroyed my faith in the country that my family has defended in the military since the Revolutionary War.”

“I can guarantee you one thing more than anything else you’ll ever hear in your life: I will be getting a lawyer,” Woods explained. “I will be suing the Democratic National Committee no matter what.”

“Whether I win or lose, I am going to stand up for the rights that every American – not a so-called celebrity,” he stated. “I’m not a celebrity — I’m hardly recognizable anymore because my career has been destroyed by these very people.”

Donald Trump is plotting his comeback to Twitter and Facebook. Should he do it?*

Explosive New Internal Documents Prove Censorship of Conservatives by Twitter

“And I will sue. And I’m hoping other people will sue,” the actor said, adding, “And if it turns out there are a lot of us on this list where the DNC targeted us, then I will quote the immortal words of Joseph Welch when he attacked [Wisconsin Senator] Joseph McCarthy for the enemies list he had – ‘At long last or have you no shame?”

Tucker then went on to explain that the Democrats were targeting the actor and that he should take it as a compliment that he was so outspoken.

“I think it is a compliment, but, it’s a big price to pay.” the actor said. “It’s not a lot of fun. I loved my career for 50 years. I was happy to be an award-winning and honored and appreciated actor, and I miss my career. These people took it from me.”

“I have to say, I am not going to take it sitting down. I think these people are vermin for doing this to other people.” Woods stated, going on to explain how such censorship affects other actors. “Casting directors literally in my business go online and check every actor who comes in for a part to see who they are following. If an actor or actress is following me, they will blacklist them.”

Woods then went on to explain that he has won similar lawsuits before when he was called a “cocaine addict” on Twitter which led to a lawsuit from Woods.

“Someone said, why would you do it? I said I’m going to defend my name. I’m not going to let them slander me like this… And if I have to be the flag bearer for this, then so be it. I’ll be proud to do it.”

Woods then went on to explain how he was suspended from Twitter for eight months after quoting Ralph Waldo Emerson. The actor then explained that when you “scratch a liberal and you’ll find a fascist every time.”

Woods and others affected by Twitter censorship will hopefully have a successful legal case to get justice for the violations of their freedom of speech. The fallout from the Twitter Files is just beginning and there is finally hard proof that Twitter actively targeted conservatives at the behest of Democrats.
