Current House Minority Leader Kevin McCarthy (R-CA) promised to rid radical Democrats Ilhan Omar (D-MN) and Adam Schiff (D-CA) of their committee assignments in a move sure to stun the most radical fringes of the Democrat Party.
During an interview on Fox New’s “Sunday Morning Futures,” McCarthy was asked by host Maria Bartiromo if he would make good on promises he made in January. Earlier this year, McCarthy vowed to oust Omar and Schiff of their committee assignments should the Republicans take control of the House.
McCarthy said the following to Breitbart News in January of this year:
“Ilhan Omar should not be serving on Foreign Affairs. This is a new level of what the Democrats have done.”
McCarthy then turned to Adam Schiff, focusing on his record on the Intel Committee:
“You look at Adam Schiff—he should not be serving on Intel when he has openly, knowingly now used a fake dossier, lied to the American public in the process and doesn’t have any ill will [and] says he wants to continue to do it,” McCarthy said. “We’re going to reshape—think about what happened in Afghanistan. Why did Afghanistan collapse so fast? Was the Intel Committee under Adam Schiff focused on impeachment and not on the safety of America?” McCarthy added.
McCarthy responded to Bartiromo’s question with an emphatic yes — he will remove both of their committee assignments.

“You have Adam Schiff, who had lied to the American public time and again – we will not allow him to be on the Intel Committee either. And look at Congresswoman Omar, her antisemitic comments that have gone forward. We’re not going to allow her to be on Foreign Affairs.”
McCarthy is referencing Schiff’s sketchy track record on foreign affairs — including the promotion of the Russia Collusion hoax. He is also referencing a number of allegedly anti-semitic remarks made by Ilhan Omar over her career.
