‘Let the American People See’: Watch As Biden Walks Away As Lawmakers DEMAND He Sign Legislation Declassifying Covid-19 Origins

A spade of revelations has emerged over governmental investigations over the origins of COVID-19 as well as a potential coverup by Dr. Anthony Fauci who tried to discredit the lab leak origin theory despite being informed that said theory was plausible. The fact that there is still a ring of classification between many documents relating to COVID-19 and the public has stirred many in Congress to demand total declassification.

The US Senate recently passed the COVID-19 Origin Act of 2023 that was sponsored by Senators Josh Hawley (R-MO), Mike Braun (R-IN), Rodger Marshall (R-KS), Mike Lee (R-UT), Rick Scott (R-FL) which demanded that “the Director of National Intelligence to declassify information relating to the origin of COVID–19, and for other purposes” within 90 days of the passage of the legislation. This act is now headed for a vote in the Republican-controlled House of Representatives where it is expected to pass. The major question is, however, whether President Joe Biden will sign the legislation or veto it.

As noted by Just The News, when the White House Press Secretary, Karine Jean-Pierre, was pressed on the matter she refused to give a clear answer. Biden himself, when he was recently asked about holding China accountable and about COVID-19’s origins, merely walked away. In response to the video depicting this, Senator Hawley tweeted “Pass my #covid origins bill – declassify the intelligence and let the American people see.”

Others demurred that Congress needed to press the matter in this way. As jointly stated by Representatives Cathy Rodgers (R-WA), Morgan Griffith (R-VA), Brett Guthrie (R-KY), and Jeff Duncan (R-SC), “It shouldn’t take an act of Congress to force the administration to help uncover the truth around one of the most important public health questions of our time.” They further noted that “Biden officials are dragging their feet and have not done it. That is unacceptable. The American people deserve full transparency regarding what our government knows about how this pandemic started, how taxpayer dollars may have been spent on risky research, and if labs performing such research are upholding the highest standards of safety.”

They concluded by stating that “We will not stop our investigation until the truth is revealed.”

Senator Hawley also made a similar pitch for declassification by remarking that “For nearly three years, anyone asking whether COVID-19 originated as a lab leak outbreak was silenced and branded as a conspiracy theorist. Now, these prudent skeptics stand vindicated. The Biden administration must immediately declassify all intelligence reports pertaining to the origins of COVID-19 and the Wuhan Institute of Virology. The American people deserve to know the truth.”

Just The News reinforced Hawley’s claims by citing that “In 2020, the Associated Press called the idea a ‘myth.’ The same year, The New York Times called it a ‘conspiracy theory,’ and The Washington Post called it a ‘fringe theory.’ Social media companies like Facebook were taking down posts in 2021 that claimed COVID-19 was man-made.”

This ‘myth’ is now being seriously considered as what in reality happened as recent statements from the Department of Energy and the FBI endorse that same ‘fringe theory’ that COVID-19 escaped from a Chinese lab in Wuhan.
