New Database Shows $80 Billion Given to BLM and Other Supporting Organizations, See What Companies Donate to the Cause

The Claremont Institute is a conservative think tank that was founded in 1979 and whose stated mission is to “restore the principles of the American Founding to their rightful, preeminent authority in our national life”. These principles can be defined as acceptance of the “foundational doctrines of natural rights and natural law found in the Declaration of Independence; the ingenious political science of the Constitution; and the popular constitutionalism or reverence necessary for the maintenance of free government.”

Claremont Institute’s Center for the American Way of Life has, according to Just The News, released a publicly accessible database that displays that corporate largesse to Black Lives Matter [BLM] and related organizations exceed $80 billion in a study of corporate donations from 2020 to the present.

That same Center announced the opening of the database on Twitter. “The Center for the American Way of Life is happy to announce the creation of our Black Lives Matter Funding Database. This online dashboard tracks corporate contributions and pledges to the BLM movement and related causes. BLM and its manifold extensions engineered one of the most successful grifts in American history, to the tune of $82.9 billion” wrote the organization.

Celebrated conservative figures were in praise of the detailed work by Claremont. Charlie Kirk, the founder and CEO of Turning Point USA, tweeted “WOW… Silicon Valley Bank gave $73,450,000 to ‘BLM Movement & Related Causes’.” He sourced the database for his figure.

Vivek Ramaswamy, a Republican presidential candidate, commented on Mr. Kirk’s revelation that “This is not unrelated to why their depositors got government bailouts. It’s a sort of protection racket. And it works.”

Mollie Hemingway simply wrote “YEP” to Kirk’s comment and linked her response to an article at The Federalist that noted the same thing.

The Center for American Way of Life also noted that “The politics of racial grievance and anti-meritocracy are indeed profitable, and have been brought to us, as it turns out, by some of the biggest name-brand corporations in the world. Everyone from Coca-Cola to Google is complicit.”

The database was acknowledged among the conservative think tank world at large.  Nile Gardiner, a foreign policy analyst at The Heritage Foundation, wrote “$82.9 billion. A huge amount of corporate money going to a far Left Marxist movement whose supporters in the UK vandalized Winston Churchill’s statue and attempted to set fire to the British flag at the sacred Cenotaph war memorial.”

James Jay Carafano, The Heritage Foundation’s Vice President for Foreign & Security Policy, hailed the database as showing “The Price of Woke” and that the Institute “has just published the most comprehensive database to date tracking corporate contributions and pledges to the BLM movement and related causes from 2020 to the present. Corporations pledged/contributed $82.9 billion!”

BLM ALLIES FACE DECADES IN PRISON, MILLIONS IN FINES – SEE WHAT THEY DID

BLM is an organization that in its own words “affirm[s] the lives of Black queer and trans folks, disabled folks, undocumented folks, folks with records, women, and all Black lives along the gender spectrum. Our network centers those who have been marginalized within Black liberation movements” and believes that blacks are “systemically targeted for demise” by the American government and society.

James Lindsay’s New Discourses website notes that the infamous Critical Race Theory is the dominant ideology of this movement. The Heritage Foundation held a panel about BLM where they noted “there are the organizations that go under the BLM banner, which were founded by Marxists trained on ending the American experiment.” The organization’s leaders have also enriched themselves off of their social justice campaigns as scandals over their mansion buying and party hosting reveal. These scandals led James Lindsay to humorously tweet “BLM’s true meaning revealed!” with a meme saying “Buy Large Mansions” underneath.

As an old adage goes humor often conveys truth to it. Based on the amount of corporate pledges and money going to BLM and BLM-like organization, it appears that donors are unfazed by these scandals.
