A new survey by Rasmussen has found that a plurality of Republican voters does not support Rep. Kevin McCarthy to become Speaker of the House.
As McCarthy enters his third day of Speaker ballots, Republican voters are watching as the 20 GOP opposition members continue to stand their ground.
“The latest Rasmussen Reports national telephone and online survey finds that 35% of Likely U.S. Voters believe Republicans should choose Kevin McCarthy to be the next Speaker of the House, while 41% say the GOP should not elect McCarthy as the next Speaker.”
It is becoming increasingly clear that the Republican grassroots are fed up with the current leadership of the party and desire a new direction.

Only 5.6 percent of Republicans want her to be re-elected with an astonishing majority of 73.5 percent of Republicans wanting her to vacate the chair.
The upheaval against the GOP leadership is being showcased by the 20 GOP opposition members who have stood up against McCarthy for the ninth time as of writing.
As negotiations for the selection of the Speaker continue, Rep. Scott Perry (R-PA) has written on Twitter that “A deal is NOT done. When confidences are betrayed and leaks are directed, it’s even more difficult to trust. Totally [unsatisfying]. I will not yield to the status quo.”
Former Rep. Anthony Sabatini shares the sentiment of the Republican grassroots when he wrote that the party needs to “FIRE RONNA & KEVIN” on Twitter Thursday afternoon.
As the fight for the Speaker’s gavel continues, it is apparent that the voters do not want McCarthy to lead their party in the Hosue, though politicians are used to not listening to the people that elect them.
