Old Glory Holding Company — co-founded by Country Singer John Rich, Famed Surgeon and Trump cabinet member Dr. Ben Carson, and Conservative pundit Larry Elder — recently closed a deal to purchase the First State Bank of Elmore City, Oklahoma. The group intends to turn the operation into the “Old Glory Bank” — a bank dedicated to serving the needs of all law-abiding American citizens. In keeping with this pledge, the group announced it seeks to “never cancel” these patriots in a recent press release.
Carson explains, “Old Glory Bank will serve lower- and middle-income Americans and those Americans that other banks have marginalized and ignored, hard-working patriots who keep this country running every day.”
Carson, who admirably served his country under the Trump Administration, knows more than a little about cancel culture. A world-renowned Surgeon, Carson was widely esteemed throughout the country and the rest of the world. He had a film made in 2009 in honor of his life to that point. But rather than resting on his clear successes, he chose to attack the failing Obama Administration and eventually ran for President in 2016.
Larry Elder adds, “we value the values of America and believe in the principles that forged this country such as liberty, privacy, security, family, community. and faith.”
Elder also knows something about woke backlash. After his high-profile run for Governor of California in 2021, he became known as the “black face of white supremacy” in left wing circles.
In turn, country musician John Rich of “Big & Rich” fame remarked, “It’s been dismaying to see the political weaponization of the financial system. Old Glory Bank was created to be the full banking solution for folks who still believe in freedom and the greatness of America.”
Rich himself has been a vocal opponent of cancel culture, stating in an interview with Breitbart that many Country musicians are scared to stand up for their values in fear of being canceled. Fortunately for America, Rich does not appear to be one to cower to the woke mob.
With figures like Rich, Carson, and Elder at the helm, we certainly have every reason to think the Old Glory Bank will be successful in withstanding the woke onslaught.
