Crime in New York City is hitting record highs. To help solve the problem, NYC Mayor Eric Adams is idiotically banning law abiding citizens from exercising their 2nd Amendment rights in iconic Time Square.

The New York Post reports that subway murders and random acts of violence are spiking in the city, even as subway ridership numbers are plummeting – a horrific combination.

“Killings in the New York City subway system since 2020 have skyrocketed to the highest annual levels in 25 years, even amid plummeting ridership numbers, as the city grapples with an overall spike in random violence, NYPD data show.”

Additionally, “There had never been more than five subway murders in a single year until the COVID-19 pandemic struck in 2020 and brought that number up to six for the first time in decades.”

INNOCENT MAN SLAUGHTERED IN NYC SUBWAY ATTACK AS CITY DESCENDS INTO VIOLENT CHAOS

Even CNN recognizes the city’s descent into violent anarchy. The liberal outlet recently reported heart-wrenching accounts of everyday Americans trying to live peaceably in the city.

“It’s becoming more and more of a mental issue for us, constantly worrying about being safe. What will happen to me if I take the train? Or if I walk on the wrong street? Or when I take a ride on my bike?”

“I live with constant fear and anxiety that I am going to be someone’s next target, I am always on the verge of a panic attack when I’m on the trains or even walking during the day. It’s not safe for us.”

Americans should never have to live in fear like this.

As the city descends into chaos, Mayor Adams is banning law abiding citizens from exercising their Second Amendment Constitutional rights: “Millions of New Yorkers and tourists flock to Times Square to see Broadway shows, enjoy a good meal and take photos of the neon billboards, and we will not allow them to live in fear or distrust that someone is walking around with a gun ready to harm them.”

However, the Americans who obey the law and will follow the dictates of this new “gun free” zone are not the ones responsible for the crime that is gripping the city. One Twitter user made the point succinctly:

Good luck, New Yorkers.
