WATCH: Russell Brand, Bill Maher Admit That Covid ‘Dissenters’ Were Right All Along

On Friday, while on ‘Real Time with Bill Maher’ the host, alongside English comedian Russell Brand, came to the realization that Americans who were skeptical about the narratives pushed by the mainstream media and pharmaceutical companies about Covid-19 were either incorrect or dishonest.

Maher explained that there have been multiple revelations in recent months that have shown that mandates are ineffective, the role of natural immunity, the effectiveness of masking, and the lab leak theory that was vindicated last week by the Wall Street Journal.

As previously reported by the DC Enquirerthe Journal wrote that the “U.S. Energy Department has concluded that the Covid pandemic most likely arose from a laboratory leak, according to a classified intelligence report recently provided to the White House and key members of Congress.”

The ‘Lab Leak Theory’ as it came to be known at the start of the pandemic was routinely blasted by the left-wing media as being ‘misinformation’ and a ‘conspiracy theory.’

The Energy Department reportedly made their assessment with “low confidence,” according to the Wall Street Journal. The FBI, however, maintains with “moderate confidence” that the origins of Covid-19 came from the Wuhan lab.

In response to this, Maher commented that those who were skeptical of the narratives pushed by the press about the coronavirus are appearing to have been on the right side of history: “I feel like the people who were the dissenters are looking pretty good. I was one of them. I remember getting a lot of s*** from a lot of places.”

Maher then pointed out that he was skeptical as well about the origins of covid and how he received backlash for opining about the matter. He cited a Daily Beast article that said he pushed a ‘conspiracy theory’ backed by Trump ally Steve Bannon.

“Yeah, it was just Steve Bannon,” the HBO host said. “Well, it was, you know, the former head of the CDC, it’s the FBI, it’s the Energy Department. We don’t know. Like I said, we shouldn’t politicize it.”

“But would you agree that the dissenters are looking better these days?” Maher asked Brand. “You’re on my team right?”

“Bill, as a matter of fact, I am. And I think dissent is a great duty around all topics and partisanship…ultimately leads us into cul-de-sacs culturally,” Brand explained. “What I feel is that we were too desperate to shut down conversation. In a state of escalated fear, we were unwilling to, ironically, listen to science. Science does not exist objectively. It exists in a subset of capitalist agendum.”

“And the problem I feel that we had is that only experimentation was taking place that was beneficial to certain interests. Only arguments were being advanced that were beneficial to certain interests. Only regulations were being imposed that were beneficial to certain interests,” Brand said. “The Wuhan lab leak theory being just one example- Fauci himself was seriously considering that this was a likely origin for the virus.”

“How could it not be a possibility?” Maher asked. “it’s a lab in Wuhan where the virus started that studied the virus and was doing gain of function research on the virus. How could it not be?”

Once again Russell Brand is able to cut through the distractions and reach the truth.
