“The View” Host Whoopi Goldberg decided to leave Twitter Monday, calling Musk’s Twitter takeover “a mess.”

Goldberg announced her decision on Monday’s episode of “The View”, saying:

“So has been a little over a week since Elon Musk took over Twitter and the place — it is a mess. ” Whoopi said, before citing a few problems Twitter currently faces. Musk’s Twitter is a work in progress. Indeed, Musk been at the helm for roughly a week. Musk has merited our patience — he is a genius and the world’s richest man after all. He will surely captain Twitter to heights it has never before seen. We are ready to see where he leads the social media giant.

Then Whoopi cited the suspension of Kathy Griffin as part of this alleged “mess.” In actuality, the suspension of the hyper-leftist Griffin was a perfectly justified action. As the DC Enquirer reports, Griffin was impersonating Musk and associating his name with Democrat get-out-to-vote efforts. She violated a clearly defined Twitter policy, one that had been in place for some time.

Then Whoopi announced her departure, claiming it was due to “certain attitudes” she had previously blocked.

“I’m getting off, I’m getting off today because I just feel like it’s so messy, and I’m tired of now having had certain kinds of attitudes blocked, and now they are back on. So I’m gonna get out, and if it settles down enough and I feel more comfortable maybe I’ll come back. But as of tonight, I’m done with Twitter.”

Then Whoopi claimed not all free speech is “okay” free speech, whatever that means: “They keep saying that it is free speech… And some speech is not okay free speech. So everyone has to agree on that. But if people keep saying “you are hurting my free speech” there’s going to be a problem. But you know what? This is our problem, but it ain’t my problem today, because I’m out.”

Whoopi couldn’t take the heat, so she got out of the kitchen. Meanwhile, we the people know that Twitter is improving for the better and with Musk at the wheel, we have every reason to think that will continue.
