'We're Going To Make Sure That Kids Are Protected': Sarah Huckabee Sanders Takes A Stand Against The Radical Left In Arkansas Schools

Due to the growing concern over what is being taught in public schools, the push for school choice is growing louder. This week, Arkansas Governor Sarah Huckabee Sanders (R-AR) signed into law the "Arkansas LEARNS" act which "gets politics out of the classroom" and "bans the indoctrination of our kids," according to the governor's Twitter account.

In an exclusive interview with Fox News, the governor explained the heart behind the legislation, "We're going to make sure that kids are protected and that they are in good learning environments." Sanders continued by explaining that the "Arkansas LEARNS" act is "the most comprehensive educational reform package certainly in the history of Arkansas but probably anywhere in the country, certainly right now."

"We don't want kids to be forever dependent on a very broken system. We are going in Arkansas from being 48th in the country in teacher pay to top 5," she continued. "We are focusing on things to empower parents to make the best decisions about how their kids can be educated and where their kids can be educated."

"We cannot have a one size fits all approach," She explained when discussing the reason for the legislation. However, this "tailored to the student" education approach isn't popular with everyone, the "Arkansas LEARNS" act is under fire by the left. Sadly, a lawsuit has already been filed against the law, according to the governor.

In a statement on Twitter, the governor explained, "After we passed the best education reform in the country, a far left judge wants to throw it out and silence parents, allow CRT and indoctrination, slash teacher pay, and trap kids in failing schools. We will NOT let that happen."
"The radical left in our state is fighting against our teachers, fighting against our families, and frankly attacking our student's futures. We're not going to sit back and do nothing and allow that to happen. We will fight back and we will win," she boldly stated in response to the lawsuit.
