A lawyer representing an IRS Criminal Supervisory Special Agent has whistleblown information that contradicts Biden’s Attorney General Merrick Garland’s narrative about his department’s relationship to the Hunter Biden criminal probe.
Mr. Garland previously testified before Congress that the decision to bring charges against Biden’s scandal-ridden son was at the hands of a Trump-appointed the U.S. Attorney for Delaware. Garland also testified that “there will not be interference of any political or improper kind” in that investigation. Yet the letter by the IRS agent’s attorney denounces “the examples of preferential treatment and politics” rife under Garland’s department, according to Just the News.
Paul Sperry, a senior reporter, summarized the contents of the scandal by writing that “Specifically, the senior IRS agent has provided evidence that at least two Biden DOJ political appointees in U.S. attorneys offices have declined to seek a tax indictment against Hunter Biden.”

He also wrote that “DOJ [Department of Justice] IG [Inspector General] Horowitz investigating claims by IRS whistleblower of political bias in investigation of Hunter Biden tax fraud — backed up by emails, other docs.”

In Garland’s previous testimony before Senator Chuck Grassley (R-IO), the Iowan mentioned that “If Weiss, the US attorney there in Delaware, must seek permission from a [President] Biden-appointed US attorney to bring charges, then the Hunter Biden criminal investigation isn’t insulated from political interference, as you publicly proclaimed.”
That declaration by the senator seems to have a bearing here. Two major Republican House politicos think so as well as in light of the whistleblower’s letter, there were comments about the investigation into the matter and the potential charge of obstruction of justice if this was found to be true.
Representative James Comer (R-KY), Chairman of the Oversight Committee, told Just the News that “It’s deeply concerning that the Biden Administration may be obstructing justice by blocking efforts to charge Hunter Biden for tax violations. The House Committee on Oversight and Accountability has been following the Bidens’ tangled web of complex corporate and financial records. It’s clear from our investigation that Hunter and other members of the Biden family engaged in deceptive, shady business schemes to avoid scrutiny as they made millions from foreign adversaries like China.”
Mr. Comer added that “We’ve been wondering all along where the heck the DOJ and the IRS have been. Now it appears the Biden Administration may have been working overtime to prevent the Bidens from facing any consequences.”
Representative Jason Smith (R-MO), Chairman of the Ways and Means Committee, released a statement that “The Committee takes seriously any allegations of misconduct by government officials or offices and will, on behalf of American taxpayers, look into concerns that are brought to our attention. It is our responsibility to ensure the tax code is applied fairly and appropriately to all Americans – whether through the oversight efforts this Committee initiates or the need for oversight that is brought to our attention.”
