'This Is The Destruction Of Our Country': Trump BLASTS Biden's Handling Of The Border Crisis In New Interview, Lays Out His Plan To Restore The Border

Donald J. Trump is the Republican frontrunner for the 2024 Republican primary and, according to many polls at this early junction, the leading candidate in the general election. Mr. Trump was recently interviewed by Just the News and shared his views on Biden's immigration and border policy. He lamented that Biden's policies have led toward the "destruction of our country" through its virtual erasure of meaningful obstacles to illegal immigration.

Speaking to Just the News, former president Trump spoke glowingly that during his presidency the United States of America enjoyed "the safest border that we've ever...we've never had a border anywhere close to it." He further added that "[i]t [the border's safety] didn't only include people or women or men or anything, it included drugs, and it included human trafficking. We had the best border we ever had."

Trump then contrasted this to the state of affairs at the border presently. He said, "Now we have the worst border I think in history...I don't believe there's a third-world country that has had a border like this."

Trump was full of praise for the work done by Border Patrol agents but noted that the current administration's policy prevented them from being fully effective and in many ways ran counter to border security. "But I think you know, there's going to be 15 million people by the end of the year and they don't know who they are, where they're from...They don't know where they're coming from. They come from prisons. They come from mental institutions, insane asylums, they're dumping everybody all over the world, not just the four countries that I talked about, including Mexico," the Republican frontrunner said.

He declared that "They're dumping from all over the world, 129 countries, they're emptying out their prisons and their mental institutions into the United States of America. And there's never been anything like this," Trump declared, adding, "[t]his is a destruction of our country."

One of the planks that Mr. Trump is running on is the need to once more secure the border and restore the country's sovereignty. His candidate website promised that "President Trump will shut down Biden’s border disaster. He will again end catch-and-release, restore Remain in Mexico, and eliminate asylum fraud. In cooperative states, President Trump will deputize the National Guard and local law enforcement to assist with rapidly removing illegal alien gang members and criminals. He will also deliver a merit-based immigration system that protects American labor and promotes American values."

Mr. Trump ran on increased border security back in 2016 as well and during his presidency managed to secure major wins on that score.
