WATCH: CNN Legal Analyst Admits Team Trump's Cross-Examination Of Stormy Daniels Was 'Devastating' - 'They Are Doing Just Fine'

During a Tuesday appearance on CNN's 'The Lead,' CNN's Chief Legal Analyst Paula Reid claimed Team Trump's cross-examination of Stormy Daniels in the New York hush-money case went 'just fine,' arguing his legal team effectively undercut the adult film star's credibility. This comes after several trials against Donald J. Trump have been launched across the country, with what amounts to an unprecedented lawfare campaign against the 45th president and presumptive 2024 Republican presidential nominee.

"Yeah, and remember, at the start of the day, the Trump team was outraged that they had so little notice about who the witness would be and so little time to prepare their cross-examination. Well, clearly, Kaitlan, they are doing just fine. This is a devastating cross-examination," Reid told CNN host Kaitlan Collins, citing Team Trump's complaint that they had a lack of time to prepare for the cross-examination of the adult film actress.

"I have just recently been told who the witness is today," Trump wrote in a since-deleted Truth Social post. "This is unprecedented, no time for lawyers to prepare. No Judge has ever run a trial in such a biased and partisan way." And yet, even Judge Merchan appeared visibly annoyed at Stormy Daniels' testimony. As the DC Enquirer previously reported, "Daniels repeatedly veered off-topic multiple times and embarrassed the former president with unnecessary details in the case, behavior that bothered Judge Juan Merchan." This is not a good look for the prosecution, as it is clear that Daniels has little objective to say about Donald J. Trump.

As Breitbart News previously reported, Paula Reid continued her analysis, adding, "They have gotten Stormy Daniels to concede she hates Trump, that she said that she would dance if he went to jail. They have pointed to the fact that she has said she will never pay him hundreds of thousands of dollars that she owes him." If true, there is very little objective information to be gained from Stormy Daniels' testimony. We, the people, demand testimony we can trust in a trial of such high stakes -- the presidential election could effectively be decided on the basis of its outcome, for better or for worse,

As such, Reid concluded that Team Trump has "effectively undercut her [Stormy Daniels'] credibility by getting her to talk about conversations she had that at pitching her with her own book. I mean, this has been devastating for Stormy Daniels' credibility." If true, this is an excellent update for Team Trump's legal fight for truth, justice, and the rule of law in America, as the 45th president faces unprecedented levels of selective prosecution.
