'A Record Crowd': Trump Packs The Iowa State Fair Grounds With Thousands Of Supporters - 'They've Never Had Anything Even Close'

On Saturday, leading 2024 Republican candidate and 45th President Donald Trump traveled to the Iowa State Fair Grounds in Des Moines, Iowa accompanied with nearly the entire Florida Republican delegation. Upon his arrival, Trump was welcomed by thousands of supporters as record numbers took over the fair.

Thousands of supporters came out to see President Trump not only in packed venues throughout the grounds but also in lengthy lines that stretched for hundreds of feet.

"I think it's great. I think it's a real honor to be here," Trump told reporters in brief remarks while at the fairgrounds. "We had a record that was set. This was the largest crowd they've ever had and I can see that because you can't get any more people here."

"I'm very honored by it. It's a tremendous thing. To watch this and to see this," Trump continued. "Now we do have a beautiful day. It's a beautiful day in Iowa. But this is a record crowd. They've never had anything even close so I am very happy by it."

"Team Trump has entirely taken over the Iowa State Fair," wrote journalist Eric Spracklen. "Thousands fighting for a glimpse of the greatest President in American history."

Joining President Trump on his trip to Iowa was nearly the entire Florida Republican delegation, all of whom have endorsed him for the Republican nomination, including Reps. Gus Bilirakis, Byron Donalds, Matt Gaetz, Carlos Gimenez, Anna Paulina Luna, Brian Mast, Cory Mills, Greg Steube and Mike Waltz.

While the official numbers for the Iowa State Fair have yet to be released for Saturday, the attendance record is likely to be broken. According to KCCI 8, on Thursday, the first day of the fair, 87,380 attendees showed up thus beating 2022's first-day attendance. If that trend continues, Saturday's numbers, particularly with President Trump's appearance are likely to break the attendance record if not rival some of the fair's biggest years.

Iowa loves President Trump and his dominance at the Iowa State Fair shows just how powerful of a force he is in the Hawkeye State.
