He said that "The leadership of the FBI and DOJ seems to be hopelessly corrupted politically" and that there was "just no reason to trust them." His recent comments were prompted by the Congress issuing a subpoena for alleged FBI documents detailing a pay-to-play scandal involving then-Vice President Joe Biden and a foreign national after a whistleblower informed Sen. Chuck Grassley (R-IA) and Rep. James Comer (R-KY) about these documents.
Representative Biggs said that the revelations reveal "unbelievable corruption...It is really, incredibly serious. So there's a couple of things that we're looking at. Number one is they [the FBI] need to provide that [the documents] to us. That's what the subpoena is all about. Let's get the information so we can go through this." The second matter to explore was the credibility of the whistleblower according to Mr. Biggs.
The Grand Canyon State Republican proceeded to cite the mass distrust between the American public and their politically minded institutions as a case for urgent radical reform. He explained that "That's why I have advocated for either you have to dissolve the FBI and reconstitute something that's more trustworthy, or you have to just start parceling out and getting rid of some of the parts of the FBI that are that are corrupt."
This is not the first time that Representative Biggs has called for dramatic action to be taken against the federal law enforcement agencies. A little less than a month prior, Mr. Biggs demanded that "we must defund the FBI/DOJ" because "[t]hey've completely departed from their mission" in light of the FBI memo that encouraged Catholic clergy to inform on their congregants.
I wonder how many undercover employees were attending Easter masses across the nation yesterday.

This is just another reason why we must defund the FBI/DOJ.
They've completely departed from their mission. https://t.co/Tynw95E73L
Back in Feburary, Representative Biggs noted that he has been calling "for serious FISA reforms for years" and that "The FBI uses scare tactics to convince Congress that these powers are the only option to protect our nation."
I will not allow the FBI to use spying powers to conduct surveillance on innocent Americans.

I have called for serious FISA reforms for years.
The FBI uses scare tactics to convince Congress that these powers are the only option to protect our nation.
They're wrong.
