Angel Family Of Rachel Morin SLAMS The Biden-Harris Administration's 'Deeply Disappointing' Disregard Of Migrant Crime

In a press release released last week, the family of Rachel Morin, the young mother who was murdered by an illegal immigrant in Maryland last year, condemned the Biden-Harris administration for failing to acknowledge the impact of their policies that allowed for an illegal immigrant from El Salvador to enter the country and murder their loved one.

In August 2023, 37-year-old Rachel Morin, a mother of five, was murdered while taking a walk on the Ma & Pa Heritage Trail in Bel Air, Maryland, allegedly by 23-year-old Victor Antonio Martinez-Hernandez. After an extensive investigation, the suspect, who has ties to the violent gang MS-13, was arrested in June in Tulsa, Oklahoma. Martinez-Hernandez was charged with first and second-degree murder, rape, sexual offenses, and kidnapping. He is expected to stand trial in October.

After a year of turmoil for the Morin family, the Biden-Harris administration has failed to reach out or even acknowledge the brutal murder, according to The Baltimore Sun. In contrast, President Donald Trump has met with the Morin family on several occasions, and multiple state officials, including former Gov. Larry Hogan (R-MD) and current Lt. Gov. Aruna Miller (D-MD), attended the one-year memorial walk last month.

"The Morin family is deeply disappointed by the lack of acknowledgment and compassion from President Biden and his administration. … The silence is deafening, and it sends a troubling message that the safety and well-being of American citizens are not a priority," the family's attorney, Randolph Rice, stated in a press release. "This lack of concern serves as a reminder of the apparent disregard by the Biden administration for the victims of preventable crimes committed by illegal immigrants. Like many others, the Morin family deserves recognition and action from their leaders to prevent such tragedies from happening again."

While the Biden-Harris administration continues to ignore the plight of families impacted by migrant crime, President Trump took time to highlight their struggle in an event in Arizona last month. The Trump campaign event featured the families of Rachel Morin and Jocelyn Nungaray, as well as Amanda Kiefer. In addition to highlighting Rachel's story, the event featured the story of 12-year-old Jocelyn Nungaray from Houston, who was murdered earlier this year after a migrant was released into the country two months before her death. Team Trump also included Amanda Kiefer from San Fransisco at the event. She suffered a fractured skull after being attacked in 2008 following then-District Attorney Kamala Harris' decision to release an illegal immigrant back onto the streets.
