Democrat Gov. Hochul Makes Desperate Decision As Thousands Overwhelm New York

On Monday, Gov. Kathy Hochul (D-NY) took action after tens of thousands of migrants have overwhelmed New York over the past few years thanks to the Biden administration's open border policies.

In an act of desperation, Hochul announced that she will be calling up the New York National Guard to assist in handling the migrant crisis with Fox News reporting that 150 guardsmen will be called upon to help with case management for asylum seekers and work permit authorization for Venezuelans.

The announcement of additional manpower comes after 2,200 guardsmen have already been called up to assist New York City and the surrounding area.

"Now that we have the opportunity granted by President Biden to help the Venezuelans who came before July 31st be able to apply for temporary protective status and what follows that literally with the same application, is the work authorization -- that coveted work authorization. That's their ticket to the American Dream," Hochul said.

"You'll be helping them get a job, helping them support themselves, helping them leave these shelters, because I believe they did not come all these thousands of miles to live in a shelter with hundreds, if not thousands of others," the Democrat governor explained. "So the National Guard has already been working to survey them. We have different categories. Some people are eligible to work right now if they already came in through the Customs and Border Protection app. There are people qualified for that. There are parolees eligible to work. There are the asylum seekers who need to apply for asylum and wait 180 days. And now we have this new category that allow the expedited work permits for Venezuelans who arrived here earlier."

The New York Democrat went on to explain that some migrants may just be in New York temporarily and will need a bus ticket to exit the state. The governor's office has allocated $50 million to assist with case management for the hundreds of thousands of migrants who have entered the Empire State since Biden's inauguration.

While Hochul is attempting to manage the crisis, she sent a strong message last week to any other potential migrants wishing to make their way to the Big Apple.

As previously reported by the DC Enquirer, Hochul begged migrants to seek other areas of the United States, telling CNN, "We have to let the word out that when you come to New York we're not going to have more hotel rooms. We don't have capacity so we also have to message properly that we are at our limit."

"If you are going to leave your country, go somewhere else," she begged. "But the smarter thing is to apply for asylum before you leave your country."

"work permit authorization for ILLEGAL Venezuelans" Sounds like TREASON to me, ignoring the rule of law and all.

Why is it Democrats are pro-illegals as long as it's in someone else's Red state or someone else's Red city?
