Planned Parenthood is taking a notable hit this week after it was announcing that the organization will lay off somewhere between 10 to 20 percent of their total national workforce, according to union officials representing the employees.
Per NPR, the landmark decision that overturned Roe v. Wade has caused notable changes in the organization's structure, which is the primary reason behind the firings. The total number of workers that will be terminated is expected to be at least 80 total people, but very well could be more.
The New York and Washington DC unions released a joint statement regarding the changes to the company.
“By the time of the Dobbs anniversary, dozens of employees of Planned Parenthood’s national office, including members of PPFA DC Union SEIU Local 500 and 1199 SEIU PPFA NYC, San Francisco, will no longer have jobs," the unions wrote. "PPFA’s leadership claims that the organization's restructuring, and the layoffs it entails, is in service of state affiliates and of the movement for reproductive freedom – yet they are pushing out some of our brightest minds.”
“This comes at a time where reproductive freedom is in jeopardy and when our members are struggling under difficult economic conditions, especially in our core locations of Washington, DC, and New York City,” the statement continued. “PPFA’s workers have families to support, loans to pay, and health to tend. We have served PPFA during the toughest times for abortion access. We deserve more than empty claims of equity and of supporting our futures.”

Planned Parenthood has been struggling since the Dobbs decision that returned abortion legislation to the states. With 13 states having outright banned abortions and another 11 that are “hostile” towards the practice (per the Center for Reproductive Rights), major changes were bound to arrive for the baby slaughtering organization.
Planned Parenthood and their CEO Alexis McGill Johnson have already laid out their intentions to overturn these state laws, as well as push other radical ideas by packing the Supreme Court, per the DC Enquirer. Earlier this month, McGill released a statement calling for major changes to the court systems to change the decision made in Dobbs, writing, “Planned Parenthood refuses to accept that our courts can only exist as they do now, and understands that reforms are integral to building the public’s trust that the courts can and will function to uphold hard-won freedoms and advance justice for future generations.”
Planned Parenthood is witnessing a major decline and can't seem to cope with the fallout. From the top to the bottom, every member of the infant-murdering organization seems to have the delusion that they’re somehow morally superior and everyone and everything else is fighting against them.
There is no sympathy for people who lose their job of forwarding the mission to abort more infants. There is no sympathy for people who make mothers lose a child. There is no sympathy for those who bring forth the worst of humanity for the sake of “reproductive rights.” One can only hope that soon not just 10 to 20 percent but every member of Planned Parenthood loses their job.
