'Bad Debate Nights Happen': Barack Obama Responds To Biden's Disastrous Presidential Debate

On Friday, former President Barack Obama took to social media to respond to his former vice president's abysmal performance on Thursday evening against Donald Trump. Despite calls from some Democrats that the party needed to find a replacement for the presumptive Democratic nominee, Obama reassured members of his party and called upon Democrats to unite behind the 81-year-old incumbent.

"Bad debate nights happen. Trust me, I know," Obama said, likely referencing his first 2012 presidential debate against Mitt Romney. "But this election is still a choice between someone who has fought for ordinary folks his entire life and someone who only cares about himself."

"Between someone who tells the truth; who knows right from wrong and will give it to the American people straight — and someone who lies through his teeth for his own benefit," the former president continued. "Last night didn't change that, and it's why so much is at stake in November."

Obama's message to the Democratic Party will likely stymie calls for Biden to withdraw from the presidential race. It is a sign that the party will move forward with Biden as the nominee once the Democratic National Convention takes place in August. While Biden can rest assured that his former boss has his back, that doesn't change the long road ahead to attempt to convince the American people that his abysmal performance was just a one-off.

Throughout the 90-minute event, a slack-jawed, glassy-eyed President Biden slurred his words and, on multiple occasions, lost his train of thought while just feet away from his political rival, Donald Trump. Trump highlighted one of the more egregious incidents when the 45th president said in response to one of Biden's answers, "I really don't know what he said at the end of that sentence. I don't think he knows what he said either."

A flash poll conducted by CNN after the debate found that only 33 percent of those surveyed who watched the debate felt that Biden won, while a whopping 67 percent believed that Trump won. Biden's backers in the media came to the same conclusion, with a survey of New York Times columnists finding that not a single writer believed that Biden even came close to winning, with a majority believing that Trump decisively won.

The pitiful performance prompted some Democrats to call for Biden to withdraw, including a plethora of New York Times columnists and high-profile Democrats. According to Senior White House Correspondent Jacqui Heinrich, Democrat sources have explained that they don't see a path forward with President Biden at the top of the ticket. "The race is over," one source said. "We are f*cked," another source added. The Democrat insiders said that the second debate with ABC News on September 10 should be abandoned by Biden's team.

Obama must be starting to be laced with dementia himself after being connected to bidens hip for these 31/2 years must have rubbed off, this wasn't just a bad night for biden, Biden was finally seen by the whole world that biden's brain is saturated with dementia and that's not going away because it can't! This proves to the whole world that the media has purposely been lying to the American people for over 3 years and now it's for sure known by our adversaries. Even changing Biden won't help, because his agenda will remain the same.
