WATCH: Biden Admin Shuts Down 'International Commerce' To Allow More Illegal Migrants Into The Country

On Monday, Fox News reporter Bill Melugin reported that the Biden administration is taking drastic measures to process more migrants at the open US-Mexico border as thousands enter the country every day.

"They have had another mass illegal crossing out there [at Eagle Pass]. You can see hundreds upon hundreds of illegal immigrants waiting for processing there," the Fox News reporter explained. "You might be able to see a bridge off in the background. That's where the trains come in. Well, CBP has announced that they are suspending railway operations to move CBP officers down into the field to help border patrol with processing."

"In other words, they're shutting down international commerce in order to help speed up processing of these migrants, many of them will be released," Melugin continued. "December is traditionally one of the slowest months on our southern border, but the Border Patrol Union tells us that right now, their numbers show that they are on track to potentially have the highest single month of arrests that they have ever had on our southern border."

Earlier this month, Border Patrol agents encountered a record-breaking 12,000 migrants along the southern border in one day, with 10,200 of those migrants being encountered by agents at ports of entry to be processed. The 2023 fiscal year has also kept with the record-breaking pace, with 2.4 million illegal migrants coming across the border under Biden's watch. The monthly encounter record was also broken recently, with September seeing 260,000 migrants cross from Mexico.

As the crisis at the southern border continues, House Republicans are attempting to secure border funding in the upcoming appropriations fight, with Speaker Mike Johnson (R-LA) using aid for Ukraine as a way to secure the US-Mexico border. The American people are also fed up with Biden's lack of action. A recent poll from Monmouth found that the issue of immigration is tanking President Biden's approval rating. Amongst those polled, only 26 percent approved of his handling of the border, while 69 percent disapproved. Amongst Democrats, those numbers only slightly improved, with 47 percent disapproving.

As the crisis on the southern border continues and millions of illegal immigrants enter the country, with over 5.5 million border apprehensions under Biden's watch, the American people are making their voices heard. Donald Trump was elected in 2016 after basing a considerable amount of his campaign on the issue of immigration and securing the border. If the number of illegal immigrants continues at this record-breaking pace, Trump's road to the White House may be even easier than in 2016.
