On Thursday, a new poll out from Messenger/HarrisX poll showed leading Republican presidential candidate and 45th President Donald Trump holding a dominant lead over President Joe Biden almost a year out from the 2024 presidential election.
According to those polled, 45 percent of them would support Trump, while 43 percent would support Biden. According to Newsmax, that two-point lead, however, is within the margin of error, and there are still 12 percent of those polled who are undecided on who they would vote for.
This poll, which polled 2,021 registered voters, including 753 registered Republicans from Oct. 30-Nov. 1 and has a margin of error of 2.2 percent, found Trump with an even stronger lead when third-party candidates were considered, however.
When Green Party candidate Cornel West and independent Robert F. Kennedy Jr. were thrown into the mix, Trump's lead grew to six points, with the former president having 44 percent support compared to Biden's 38 percent. RFK Jr. garnered 14 percent support, and Cornel West only secured four percent backing.
Among independents, RFK Jr. was able to secure the most support with 34 percent, while Biden got 27 percent and Trump received 25 percent.
The poll also found that Trump is still dominating in the Republican primary with 62 percent support compared to Gov. Ron DeSantis' (R-FL) 12 percent and former UN Ambassador Nikki Haley's (R-SC) seven percent.
As previously reported by the DC Enquirer, Trump has been successful in cementing his support in the early states like Iowa, New Hampshire, and South Carolina.
A new poll from the Des Moines Register and Mediacom showed Trump up nearly 30 points over his competition with 43 percent support. With less than three months until the caucus on January 15, his lead is seemingly insurmountable at this point in the race. While it is possible that either Haley or DeSantis could close the gap somewhat in the intervening period, Trump's dominance this close to the Iowa caucus will surely win him the first contest in the nation.
Thanks to his growing support, Trump has racked up endorsement after endorsement, with the most recent being Sen. Rick Scott (R-FL), who hails from the same state as Trump's main rival DeSantis.
According to Five Thirty Eight's endorsement tracker, which weighs various endorsements with a point value, Trump has a nine times greater endorsement value than DeSantis, with notable support from Gov. Jim Justice (R-WV), Gov. Tate Reeves (R-AL), Gov. Kristi Noem (R-SC), Gov. Henry McMaster (R-SC), and a plethora of others.
As Trump's dominance in the race grows and Biden continues to struggle both abroad and at home, Americans everywhere are beginning to yearn for an America under Trump's leadership.
