REJECTION: New Poll Shows Majority of Dems Do Not Want Biden to Run in 2024

A new ABC News/Washington Post poll released Sunday showed that a majority of Democrats do not want President Joe Biden (D) to run for reelection in 2024, instead preferring another candidate to take the nomination.

“His party struggling in the midterms, his economic stewardship under fire, and his overall job approval under 40 percent,” the poll summarized, adding, “a clear majority of Democrats in the latest ABC News/Washington Post poll say the party should replace Joe Biden as its nominee for president in 2024.”

Only 35 percent of Democrats support a second Biden term with 56 percent of left-leaning voters wanting the party to find another candidate to replace the aging president, largely driven by his low approval rating, according to The Daily Wire.

“The president’s standing customarily is critical to his party’s fortunes in midterms – and Biden is well underwater,” the poll found. “Thirty-nine percent of Americans approve of his job performance while 53 percent disapprove, about where he’s been steadily the past year.”

Making matters worse for the 46th president, some of the Democrat’s most loyal supporters report record low approval of his job thus far.

“He’s at new lows in approval among liberals (68 percent), Southerners (33 percent), and people in the middle- to upper-middle income range (34 percent),” the poll explained, adding, “And his strong approval among Black adults – among the most stalwart Democratic groups – is at a career-low 31 percent.”

TRUMP-ENDORSED ARIZONA CANDIDATES SURGING IN RECENT POLL

Due to Biden’s incompetency, Democrats are hurting down the ballot as well with the midterm elections just weeks away, particularly in the battleground districts that will decide Congress.

“Among those living in congressional districts that are rated as at least somewhat competitive by ABC’s FiveThirtyEight (neither solid Republican nor solid Democratic), registered voters favor Republican candidates by a wide 55-34 percent,” the poll results explained, adding it was, “nearly as big as the Republican lead in solid GOP districts (+24 points).”

A Rasmussen poll released last week shows similar success for Republicans, although not with such a large margin: “if the elections for Congress were held today, 44% of Likely U.S. Voters would vote for the Republican candidate, while 42% would vote for the Democrat.”

Republicans, despite losing some momentum in recent weeks, are likely to take back the House of Representatives on November 8. The Senate, however, is another story with the contests in Nevada, Arizona, Georgia, and Pennsylvania all taking center stage.

It will be up to everyday Americans in these important states to win back Congress and halt Biden’s agenda in its tracks.
