Biden Set To Offer Legal Status To Hundreds Of Thousands Of Illegal Migrants, Report

For the past three and a half years, the Biden administration has done everything in its power to ensure that millions of illegal migrants have been able to enter the United States through the unsecured southern border, a move that many Republicans have argued is an attempt by the president to secure a Democrat majority and influence the apportionment of congressional seats. The first step in that process, giving legal status to illegal migrants, is reportedly in the works at the White House.

According to a new report from CBS News, the Biden administration is reportedly developing plans to offer legal status to hundreds of thousands of illegal migrants that would grant deportation protection and work permits to some individuals who illegally entered the country. White Hosue sources told the outlet that the requirements to be granted these protections will only apply to migrants married to US citizens who have lived in the country for at least a decade. 

The program, which will be named "Parole in Place," will develop a pathway to citizenship for these individuals by removing a legal requirement that barred the issuance of green cards to illegal immigrants. The outlet also noted that the Biden White House is preparing to streamline the Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals (DACA) program to ensure that those enrolled in the program, about 530,000 illegal migrants, receive visas. The changes to the DACA program could be announced as soon as Tuesday during an event hosted by Biden to celebrate the 12th anniversary of the Obama-era initiative.

In response to the potential announcement, Republicans took up arms with Rep. Chip Roy (R-TX), writing, "HARD NO. [House GOP] CANNOT fund Biden's AMNESTY of hundreds of thousands of illegal aliens - the American people are watching."

"Mass amnesty through Executive fiat is unconstitutional & highly illegal," Andrea Tantaros wrote on X. "It's why the Admin is collecting names of illegals for ballots upon border crossings, not demanding IDs, deportation or tracking their movements. This is the Left's coordinated invasion to keep control."

President Biden's decision to hand out amnesty to hundreds of thousands of illegal immigrants is a slap in the face to the millions of legal migrants who waited their turn, and it should concern Americans everywhere that citizenship is becoming increasingly devalued. President Biden is attempting to unilaterally use executive authority in an election-year gambit to get more votes as he usurps Congress for his political gain.
