'Outrageous And Abhorrent': Biden SLAMMED For Declaring Easter Sunday As Trans Day Of Visibility, Banning Religious Art From White House Easter Contest

On Good Friday, President Joe Biden, a devout Catholic, issued a proclamation declaring March 31, 2024, Easter Sunday, to be Transgender Day of Visibility. The Biden administration also banned religious symbols from the White House Easter egg art contest. In response to the declaration, conservatives nationwide criticized the White House for the anti-Christian move.

"On Transgender Day of Visibility, we honor the extraordinary courage and contributions of transgender Americans and reaffirm our Nation's commitment to forming a more perfect Union — where all people are created equal and treated equally throughout their lives," Biden wrote in the proclamation. "Today, we send a message to all transgender Americans: You are loved. You are heard. You are understood. You belong. You are America, and my entire Administration and I have your back."

"NOW, THEREFORE, I, JOSEPH R. BIDEN JR., President of the United States of America, by virtue of the authority vested in me by the Constitution and the laws of the United States, do hereby proclaim March 31, 2024, as Transgender Day of Visibility," the president proclaimed. "I call upon all Americans to join us in lifting up the lives and voices of transgender people throughout our Nation and to work toward eliminating violence and discrimination based on gender identity."

The Transgender Day of Visibility was started on March 31, 2009, during the Obama administration. Biden's proclamation formalizes the day, and Easter Sunday, which is celebrated on the first Sunday after the Spring Equinox or the first full moon afterward, will not fall on March 31 again until 2086. There were no Transgender Day of Visibility proclamations during the Trump administration.

Speaker of the House Mike Johnson (R-LA), a devout Christian, condemned Biden's actions as "outrageous and abhorrent," writing, "The Biden White House has betrayed the central tenet of Easter — which is the resurrection of Jesus Christ. Banning sacred truth and tradition—while at the same time proclaiming Easter Sunday as 'Transgender Day'—is outrageous and abhorrent. This is why the American people are taking note."

"Biden declares Easter a 'trans day of visibility.' This fits perfectly if you actually read the Woke literature and accept that the Democratic Party is completely captured," James Lindsay explained. "See Freire explaining that the true Easter is the rebirth into critical consciousness. Woke is a cult."

Daily Wire host Matt Walsh went as far as declaring Biden to be a "demon" for the proclamation. "I have as low an opinion of Biden as you can possibly have and yet this is so outrageously evil that I had to check to make sure it was real. It is," Walsh wrote. "Our 'catholic' president has chosen the highest holiday on the Christian calendar to celebrate transgenderism. This man is a demon."

Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene (R-GA) also lamented Biden's decree, writing, "Biden and the Democrats decided Easter - the Holy Day of our Savior's Resurrection - as transgender day of visibility. There is no length Biden and the Democrats won't go to to mock your faith, and to thumb his nose at God. We know that Christ is King and God will not be mocked, just like we know Joe Biden isn't really the one calling the shots in the White House. Psalm 37:13: 'but the Lord laughs at the wicked, for he knows their day is coming.'"

On the same day of Biden's proclamation, the Biden White House banned religious symbols from being included in an art event for "Celebrating National Guard Families," as The New York Post reported. The art contest, a tradition for the annual Easter Egg Roll, had fliers explaining that the art "must not include any questionable content, religious symbols, overtly religious themes, or partisan political statements." 

The Biden White House's proclamation declaring Easter Sunday as Transgender Day of Visibility is a slap in the face to the millions of Christians across America. Easter is a day to honor the resurrection of Jesus Christ, not honor those who believe one can change one's gender.
