BREAKING: Another House Republican Announces Retirement - 'Time To Pursue Other Opportunities'

On Thursday, another House Republican, Congressman Jake LaTurner (R-KS), announced he would not be running for another term in Congress. The announcement is yet another lawmaker who has decided to abandon ship in recent months, with other notable Republicans deciding to either retire from Congress or resign amid the intra-caucus turmoil.

"I will proudly serve the remainder of the 118th Congress, but after much prayer and consideration, I will not seek reelection this Fall," LaTurner, who represents a reliably Republican district, said in a statement. "The people of Kansas who elected me to serve in the United States House of Representatives have given me the professional honor of my life, but it is time to pursue other opportunities and have the benefit of spending more time with my family."

LaTurner joins several House Republicans who are leaving Congres either during or after this session concludes. Reps. Ken Buck (R-CO) and Kevin McCarthy (R-CA) both left Congress before their terms ended, and Rep. Mike Gallagher (R-WI) is expected to resign this week. Several other House Republicans have also said they will retire at the end of this Congress, including Reps. Michael Burgess (R-TX), Kelly Armstrong (R-ND), Dan Bishop (R-NC), and others.

I have great respect for the house reps who retire after their terms expires, and I thank them for serving their whole term. But for the ones that left before your term was up I say to you good riddance and don't let the door hit you on the way out, and for the ones who just quit their terms for a better paying job like Galleger who was offered a position paying 1.3 million a year, I say to you people, screw you because they were most likely bought out by the elite rinos so demscan control the house and the senate to completely finish destroying the U.S. with the democrats, and for you people I wish instant karma on you. But we will fill the seats with true conservitives and we will dig this country out of the abyss that the far left radical Marxists purposely put this country in.
