BREAKING: Dozens Dead In Massive Attack At Moscow Concert Hall

On Friday, a large attack took place at a sold-out concert hall in Moscow, Russia, by at least three heavily armed gunmen that has left at least dozens of Russian civilians dead. Footage of the attack shows a chaotic scene with the gunmen, who reportedly are in camouflage gear, opening fire on patrons indiscriminately. A fire has also engulfed much of the concert hall, leading to many being trapped inside the building or on the roof.

In response to the attack at the Crocus City Hall, Russia's prosecutor general issued a statement on Telegram, writing, "On behalf of Igor Krasnov, the prosecutor of the Moscow region has gone to the scene of the incident at Crocus City Hall to coordinate the actions of law enforcement agencies. Tonight, before the start of the event in the concert hall in Krasnogorsk, unknown men in camouflage clothes broke into the building and started shooting. The number of victims is being determined, a fire started in the entertainment center building, and citizens are being evacuated."

Moscow Mayor Sergei Sobyanin has also decided to cancel all events in the city as a precaution against potential repeat attacks. "A terrible tragedy occurred in the shopping center Crocus City today," the Moscow mayor said. "I am sorry for the loved ones of the victims." Russia's security services have responded to the scene, and firefighters are currently battling the blaze and attempting to rescue trapped visitors. More than 70 ambulances have reported to the scene to aid to the wounded.

“The attackers presumably opened fire at the entrance to the building during a concert, using automatic weapons, and then a fire began in the building,” the Moscow emergency services said.
