BREAKING: Elon Musk Reveals That Governments Infiltrated Twitter DMs, Details His Acquisition Of Twitter On Tucker Carlson

On Monday night, Tucker Carlson showed his millions of viewers a recent interview he conducted with billionaire Elon Musk. Amongst the most pressing topics was Musk’s takeover of Twitter last October.

Musk explained to Tucker that the acquisition of Twitter for $44 billion was not a good financial decision and that he bought it for twice as much for what it was valued. However, he added that some things are priceless.

“Free speech is the bedrock of a functioning society,” Musk said, adding that the Community Notes feature to fact-check users is great to ensure that accuracy takes precedence on the platform.

He added that the impact of the notes encourages people to be more truthful and less deceptive on the platform.

The billionaire said that he expected significant pushback from the elites but he emphasized that the public perception of the platform is what matters. He explained that there are organizations on Twitter that used to have an influence on the platform which no longer have such influence.

Tucker and Musk then went on to laugh about how the New York Times was unverified and that their output is like “diarrhea.”

He then went on to explain that outlets should only put out their best content rather than pursue quantity over quality.

The interview then shifted to how intelligence agencies infiltrated Twitter as exposed by the Twitter Files investigation by Matt Taibbi and other reporters. Musk explained that he got “more and more uneasy” about the Twitter situation saying that something felt wrong with the platform.

“My conversations with the board and management seemed to confirm my intuition about that. I was convinced that these guys do not care about fixing Twitter. I had a bad feeling about where it was headed based on my conversations with them,” he explained.

He said that the role and access of intelligence agencies on Twitter blew his mind including the infiltration of direct messages on the platform.

Musk went on to explain that Twitter will play a significant role in the upcoming elections. He said that the goal of the new Twitter is to be as fair and even-handed as possible.

Tucker went on to ask the billionaire why Facebook hasn’t pursued such a free speech direction with his company whereas Musk pointed out that Zuckerberg spent millions on behalf of Democrats in the last election.

The Twitter CEO then commented on the reinstating of 45th President Donald Trump saying that he has the option to return. He also said that the next president should reflect the middle of the country rather than the political extremes.
