The Washington, D.C. Metropolitan Police Department has reported that its officers cooperating with the Bureau of Alcohol Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives are investigating three bombings that occurred in the nation's capital Sunday morning.
Within a span of fifteen minutes starting at 4:30 AM EST explosives detonated at three businesses in the city according to a statement from the DC Metro Police, Truist Bank on Washington Place, the Nike Store on H Street and a Safeway Supermarket on 40th street were attacked.
The DC Metro PD tweeted, "MPD and @ATFWashington seek the public's assistance in identifying suspects and a vehicle in reference to Destruction of Property offenses that occurred on Sunday, July 2, 2023, in the District. Have info? Call (202) 727-9099/text 50411"
Fox Business reported that the explosive devices were incendiary in nature, allegedly two "explosive devices" and a "Molotov cocktail style object" respectively and the attacks were conducted quickly with the suspects fleeing each scene by car.
Though all three businesses suffered fire damage and shattered windows, each was closed at the time of the attack and no injuries have been reported. Law enforcement officials stated they believe the businesses themselves, rather than any particular people, were attacked, they wrote

According to the DCMPD statement authorities are offering a reward of "of up to $10,000 to anyone who provides information that leads to the arrest and conviction of the person or persons responsible for these offenses." The ATF offered an additional $10,000 as well bringing the possible total for information leading to the suspect's arrest to $20,000."In each of these offenses, it appears the suspect targeted commercial establishments and it does not appear the suspect was targeting any members of the public. The establishments were closed at the time of the offenses. There were no reported injuries as a result of these offenses."
