BREAKING: Head Of Russia's Wagner Group Prigozhin Reportedly Killed In Plane Crash Months After Launching Coup Against Putin

On Wednesday, the head of the Wagner Group, Yevgeny Prigozhin, was reportedly killed in a plane crash north of Moscow as reported by Russian state media.

Prigozhin was amongst seven passengers aboard a flight from Moscow to St. Petersburg when the plane went down.

“According to the Federal Air Transport Agency, an investigation has been launched into the Embraer crash," RIA Novosti reported, per NBC News. “Among the passengers is the name and surname of Evgeny Prigozhin.”

Earlier this year, the head mercenary launched a military uprising and attempted coup against Russian President Vladimir Putin after disagreements arose pertaining to the logistics and operation the Russian military in Ukraine. 

The Wagner Group was able to move several hundred miles before a deal was struck between Putin and Prigozhin.
