BREAKING: House Republican Has Major Medical Emergency, Collapses At DC Event

On Tuesday evening, Rep. Joe Wilson (R-SC) suffered a major medical emergency during an event in Washington, D.C. After CPR was performed by bystanders, the 77-year-old lawmaker was rusehd to the hospital. Wilson has represented South Carolina's 2nd Congressional District since 2001 and he serves as an assistant Republican whip.

As of this report, it is unclear what could have caused the medical emergency. The State Newspaper reporter Joseph Bustos confirmed that Wilson has been hospitalized following the incident. "Wilson’s congressional campaign confirmed this report and tells me the event was in DC and Wilson is in the hospital. No other information is available."
