On Friday morning, James O’Keefe, the former president of Project Veritas and now the current president of the O’Keefe Media Group (OMG), announced that he has sent hundreds of cameras around the country to citizen journalists willing to expose corruption in the government, business, and non-profit sectors.
“Just sent out hundreds of cameras to the [OMG] army of citizen journalists,” O’Keefe wrote on Twitter with a video attached.
“We are buying, I think it’s $60,000 worth of cameras in the next week or two and we will be shipping those out to you,” O’Keefe said in the video.
When responding to criticism that he couldn’t be “everyone’s editor”, O’Keefe said, “watch me.”
“Every promise I have made, I have delivered and OMG will be no different,” he said. “This is our first promise made and delivered, literally delivered. Hundreds of citizen journalists will soon receive their equipment which means the OMG army of exposers will soon be holding those in power accountable.”
“You’re being watched. We are coming after you. The next time you try to take advantage of honest Americans, the person sitting next to you might have a microphone or a camera,” O’Keefe continued. “You see, the world is watching and if you are lying, cheating, stealing, or scamming, you may be the next unwitting star of the internet.”
“Oh and by the way, our next story is on Monday,” O’Keefe revealed.
As previously reported by the DC Enquirer, O’Keefe started his new organization earlier this month after he was ousted from Project Veritas.
On the new organization’s website, https://www.okeefemediagroup.com, O’Keefe explains that “In the coming months you will see this army expanding across the country, every statehouse, every city council, every school board, and everywhere people are conspiring to keep themselves in power, practice favoritism, or line their pockets with tax dollars.”
Those who wish to support O’Keefe’s organization can donate $500, $1,000, $2,500, or $5,000 in order to become a “Founding Member.” Additionally, individuals can subscribe to get content from the organization at $200 a year or $19.99 a month.
Americans are looking forward to seeing the investigative journalism that O’Keefe and his team will reveal. If James’ track record at Project Veritas showed anything, it’s that the story released on Monday is going to be explosive.
