BREAKING: Kevin McCarthy Dealt Devastating Blow In The Fight For His Speakership

On Tuesday, the last-ditch effort to stop Rep. Matt Gaetz's (R-FL) plan to oust Speaker of the House Kevin McCarthy (R-CA) failed after at least 11 Republicans voted against tabling the motion to fire Speaker McCarthy alongside the entire Democrat caucus.

The motion to table, initiated by Rep. Tom Cole (R-OK), was the last chance that McCarthy had to avoid the official vote to oust him from the speakership as more Republicans came out against him. Those who have already voted against the motion to table, and will likely support McCarthy's ouster, include Rep. Matt Gaetz (R-FL), Rep. Ken Buck (R-CO), Rep. Bob Good (R-VA), Rep. Eli Crane (R-AZ), Rep. Andy Biggs (R-AZ), Rep. Dan Bishop (R-NC), Rep. Warren Davidson (R-OH), Rep. Cory Mills (R-FL), and Rep. Tim Burchett (R-TN).

Following the vote, both McCarthy's faction and the GOP rebels each have 30 minutes to argue their case against the speaker.

This is a developing story and will be updated accordingly.
