BREAKING: New Footage Sheds Light On Democrat Jamaal Bowman's Purposeful Pulling Of Fire Alarm

On Thursday, new footage was released showing Rep. Jamaal Bowman (D-NY), who was charged by the Washington, D.C. attorney general on Wednesday, taking down the warning signs before pulling the fire alarm during the government shutdown showdown that took place last month.

In the clip, Bowman can be seen taking down the warning signs that are meant to warn members and staff that an alarm will go off if the door is opened.

Watch the newly released footage clip below:

There's "probable cause to believe that the defendant willfully or knowingly gave a false fire alarm within the District of Columbia," Bowman's arrest report explains.

"Today as I was rushing to make a vote, I came to a door that is usually open for votes but today would not open," the Democrat said in a statement following the incident. "I am embarrassed to admit that I activated the fire alarm, mistakenly thinking it would open the door. I regret this and sincerely apologize for any confusion this caused."

Despite claiming that he was attempting to get to a vote quickly and accidentally pulled the alarm, the video clearly shows that he purposefully hid the signs and never even attempted to open the door.

This is a developing story and will be updated accordingly.
