BREAKING: O.J. Simpson Dead At 76 Following Cancer Battle

On Wednesday, O.J. Simpson, one of the most infamous people in America after his murder trial in 1995 captivated the nation, died at the age of 76 after succumbing to cancer. O.J. had been battling prostate cancer in recent years, but his health took a turn in the past few months, leading him to be put in hospice care in Las Vegas. He was surrounded by his family during his passing.

The Simpson family released a statement that read, "On April 10th, our father, Orenthal James Simpson, succumbed to his battle with cancer. He was surrounded by his children and grandchildren. During this time of transition, his family asks that you please respect their wishes for privacy and grace."

Simpson's life was spent captivating America first on the football field with the USC Trojans and later with the Buffalo Bills, then in Hollywood, and finally as the main suspect in the so-called "Trial of the Century" following the murder of Nicole Brown Simpson and Ron Goldman.
