BREAKING: Pharmacies Nationwide Suffer MAJOR Cyberattack

On Wednesday, pharmacies across America began to report delays in prescription orders after a cyberattack impaired one of the country's biggest healthcare technology companies, Change Healthcare.

"Change Healthcare is experiencing a network interruption related to a cyber security issue, and our experts are working to address the matter," the company explained. "Once we became aware of the outside threat, in the interest of protecting our partners and patients, we took immediate action to disconnect our systems to prevent further impact."

The company is responsible for payment processing between pharmacies and patients. The cyberattack has resulted in many pharmacies, mostly on the East Coast, being unable to bill insurance companies when patients come to pick up their medicine.

Change Healthcare explained that they will continue to provide updates when new information becomes available. At this time, the origin of the cyberattack is unknown.

This is a developing story and will be updated accordingly.
