On Saturday, President Joe Biden ventured to New Delhi, India for the G20 meeting where he once again embarrassed himself in a gaffe-filled, rambling speech to his fellow world leaders.
"And I particularly want to thank Prime Minister Modi and the Crown Prince of Saudi Arabia, Mohammed bin Salam, excuse me, Mohammed bin Salman and President von der Leyen and the European Commission," Biden incoherently said. "And since he’s not speaking today, I wanted to — well maybe he is speaking today. I had a note he wasn’t speaking. Any rate, I’m gonna stop there."
The annual Group of 20 meeting is a diplomatic forum made up of the following nations and international bodies: Argentina, Australia, Brazil, Canada, China, France, Germany, India, Italy, Indonesia, South Korea, Japan, Mexico, Russia, Saudi Arabia, South Africa, Turkey, the United Kingdom, the United States, the European Union, and the African Union.
The world leaders refused to fully condemn the invasion of Ukraine and instead were only able to issue joint statements on climate change and economic development, per CNN.
Following the G20 summit, President Biden will travel to Hanoi, Vietnam on Sunday and reside there on Monday. While in Vietnam, the president hopes to forge a stronger relationship with the Southeast Asian country in an effort to "increase peace, prosperity, and stability in the region," per The New York Times. The visit is an effort to bolster U.S.-Vietnam relations as China continues to exert its might in the region.
While President Biden traverses the world as a representative of the United States, it is clearly taking its toll on his mental well-being. At 80 years old, Biden is clearly suffering from mental deterioration and his overseas schedule likely isn't helping.
This is a developing story and will be updated accordingly.
