BREAKING: President Trump, Conservatives Voice Support For Ken Paxton Following Impeachment

On Saturday, the Texas House of Representatives made the landmark decision in a 121-23 vote to impeach Texas Attorney General Ken Paxton over allegations of misconduct in office that include bribery, obstruction of justice, and abuse of public trust. The vote will temporarily remove the Texas official from office. Lawmakers all across the country have come out against the decision, with many bashing the Republicans that voted for his removal.

The historic vote comes only two days after the announcement of there being an investigation into the Attorney General, per the Texas Tribune.

The vote also follows an incredibly successful legislative session where key topics like transgender minors, abortion, and university diversity were addressed.

Paxton has responded to his impeachment on his Twitter account with a photo of his statement accompanied by the text “I am beyond grateful to have the support of millions of Texans who recognize that what we just witnessed is illegal, unethical, and profoundly unjust. I look forward to a quick resolution in the Texas Senate, where I have full confidence the process will be fair and just.”
His statement talks about the “ugly spectacle in the Texas House” that was conducted by “Speaker Phelan and the corrupt politicians he controls.” Paxton has recently come out against Texas House Speaker Dade Phelan (R-TX) after the speaker appeared “in an obviously intoxicated state” while presiding over the House, per Fox 4

The impeached Attorney General remains hopeful, stating that “Texas know[s] that I have always had their back, and in return, they will always have mine.”
Former President Donald Trump has already voiced his support for the Texas Attorney General, writing in a Truth Social post “The RINO [Republican in name only] Speaker of the House of Texas, Dade Phelan, who is barely a Republican at all and failed the test on voter integrity, wants to impeach one of the most hard-working and effective Attorney Generals in the United States, Ken Paxton, who just won re-election with a large number of American Patriots strongly voting for him,” the former president’s first message wrote. “You would think that any issue would have been fully adjudicated by the voters of Texas, especially when that vote was so conclusive….”

“….I love Texas, won it twice in landslides, and watched as many other friends, including Ken Paxton, came along with me,” he continued in his second social media post. “Hopefully Republicans in the Texas House will agree that this is a very unfair process that should not be allowed to happen or proceed—I will fight you if it does. It is the Radical Left Democrats, RINOS, and Criminals that never stop. ELECTION INTERFERENCE! Free Ken Paxton, let them wait for the next election!”

The former president then later shared a post showing the House Speaker in a drunk-like state, sharing “So this is the RINO who is responsible for the Impeachment of a just re-Elected Attorney General of Texas who has done an outstanding job? What is our Country coming to?”

The conservative influencer DC Draino tweeted out, writing “Texas House Republicans just voted overwhelmingly to impeach Trump-endorsed Attorney General Ken Paxton after he took on Biden, Big Pharma, and our country’s Open Borders. Looks like the RINO Swamp in Texas may be deeper than the Swamp in DC. Texas voters deserve so much better.”
The entire impeachment shows major concern for Texas as Ken Paxton has worked hard for the state and been a successful Attorney General during his many years in office. The most frightening part is the amount of so-called ‘Republicans’ that voted for the impeachment of one of their own members.
