BREAKING: President Trump Says Alvin Bragg is Interfering in Elections With Potential Indictment

On Monday, President Donald Trump took to Truth Social to blast Manhattan District Attorney Alvin Bragg’s (D) case against him after backlash from news of a potential indictment last week has reportedly seen Bragg hesitating to bring a indictment.

“Can you imagine? I am leading the opposition within the Republican Party by 30 plus, and Biden by 6 plus, and everyone is waiting to hear from a local George Soros-backed D.A., who has watched Violent Crime in Manhattan soar to Record Highs, as to whether or not he is going to ‘criminally indict’ me for NO CRIME,” Trump wrote on his social media platform. “Every Prosecutor, and the FEC, who looked at it, took a pass.”

According to a recent poll from Morning Consult, Trump is leading the Republican primary polls with 54 percent support of the party. In comparison, Gov. Ron DeSantis (R-FL), who has yet to announce his run, is only polling at 26 percent in the poll.

Additionally, the case being brought by Bragg has been described as “targeted injustice” by Harvard legal scholar Alan Dershowitz given its shaky legal framework.

“One year ago he, Alvin Bragg, said ‘NO WAY,'” Trump explained. “Now he’s looking at it again? He should prosecute Mark Pomerantz & Cohen!”

PRESIDENT TRUMP ANNOUNCES TEXAS LEADERSHIP TEAM, SEE WHO WILL BE FIGHTING FOR TRUMP

“ELECTION INTERFERENCE THROUGH PROSECUTORS IS THE NEW ‘BALLOT STUFFING’ FOR THE DEMOCRAT PARTY!!!” the leading Republican presidential contender added.

The 45th president isn’t just sticking to only rhetoric on this issue of election interference by the D.A. either.

On Friday, Trump lawyer Joseph Tacopina called upon the New York Department of Investigations Commissioner to investigate the D.A.’s office, as previously reported by the DC Enquirer.

The 12-page letter sent to Commissioner Jocelyn E. Strauber demands that an investigation be launched into the “unprecedented multi-year probe of President Trump” adding that it represented “prosecutorial misconduct” and a “blatant attempt to interfere with a Federal election.”

The Manhattan grand jury responsible for potentially bringing down an indictment on Trump is set to meet Monday and may hear from more witnesses in the case.
