BREAKING: Republican Candidates Tackle Trump At The Debates, Chris Christie Drowned Out By Boos

On Wednesday evening, eight Republican presidential candidates took to the stage in Milwaukee for the first GOP presidential debate hosted by Fox News and the Republican National Committee.

The fourth round of questions focused on 45th President Donald Trump with the candidates raising their hand on whether or not they would support Trump if he were found guilty on the indictments. Every candidate excluding Asa Hutchinson and Chris Christie raised their hands.

Chris Christie went after Trump and explained that his actions were not worthy of a candidate for president. Vivek took the time to spar with the former governor explaining that Americans don't want a candidate who regularly goes on MSNBC to be president. During their back and forth, Christie was drowned out by boos from the crowd. Christie once again went after the Trump for his comment that it would be okay to suspend the Constitution.

Sen. Tim Scott was then asked whether or not Mike Pence did the right thing on January 6th to which he said yes. Scott then said that if elected he would fire FBI Director Chrisotpher Wray to stop the weaponization of the justice system against Americans.

Governor DeSantis was asked the same question as Scott to which he pivoted to not attempt to not focus on January 6th but instead focus on January 2025. He explained that Republicans need to look forward rather than backwards.

Pence went after DeSantis and demanded that he answer the question to which the Florida governor said that he does believe Pence did his duty.

Hutchinson, who didn't raise his hand, said that Trump was "morally disqualified" to run for president and he explained that Trump may be disqualified from running for the presidency under the 14th Amendment.

Chris Christie then went on to explain that Pence deserves thanks from Americans because he put the Constitution over political pressure. "We have to dispence from the person who said that we need to suspend the Constitution," Christie said of Trump.

Haley also agreed that Pence did the right thing on that day and that he deserves credit for his actions. She then went on to point out that most Americans do not want to see a rematch between Trump and Biden and that the leading Republican is one of the most disliked candidates in America.

Vivek then pushed Pence to commit to pardoning Trump if he were elected president. Pence denied to answer the question. He then turned to the oath of office he took in January 2017 and once again demanded that the other candidates are clear about their thoughts on January 6th and the 2020 election.

During the debate, leading 2024 Republican candidate and 45th President Donald Trump joined former Fox News host Tucker Carlson instead of joining the debate stage.
