BREAKING: Ron DeSantis Responds To Jack Smith's Indictment Of President Trump - 'Washington DC Is A Swamp'

Special Counsel Jack Smith and the Biden Department of Justice have let loose yet another indictment of 45th President Donald J. Trump and presented the details to the press late on Tuesday.

In response to the third indictment against the leading Republican candidate, Gov. Ron DeSantis (R-FL), who is running against Trump for the GOP nomination, issued a statement condemning the weaponization of the federal government.

"As President, I will end the weaponization of government, replace the FBI Director, and ensure a single standard of justice for all Americans," DeSantis wrote on Twitter. "While I’ve seen reports, I have not read the indictment."

"I do, though, believe we need to enact reforms so that Americans have the right to remove cases from Washington, DC to their home districts," the presidential hopeful wrote. "Washington, DC is a 'swamp' and it is unfair to have to stand trial before a jury that is reflective of the swamp mentality."

"One of the reasons our country is in decline is the politicization of the rule of law. No more excuses—I will end the weaponization of the federal government," the Florida governor concluded.

Independent journalist Brendon Gutenschwager shared the text of the indictment, confirming Trump has been federally indicted on  four counts:

"-Conspiracy to Defraud the United States
-Conspiracy to Obstruct an Official Proceeding
-Obstruction of and Attempt to Obstruct an Official Proceeding
-Conspiracy Against Rights"
