BREAKING: Ronna McDaniel Set To Step Down From Republican National Committee

Republican National Committee Chairwoman Ronna McDaniel is expected to step down from her position following the South Carolina Republican primary on February 24 as the RNC has suffered from a worsening financial situation in recent months amid poor fundraising.

McDaniel, who has served as the head of the RNC since 2017, reportedly told Trump in a Monday meeting at Mar-a-Lago that she would be stepping down following the final competitive Republican primary in South Carolina between Trump and former Governor Nikki Haley (R-SC). According to The New York Times, Trump is then expected to promote North Carolina Republican Party Chairman Michael Whatley as McDaniel's replacement. However, RNC delegates will have to vote for a new committee chairman and may choose another candidate against Trump's wishes.

McDaniel previously faced a challenge to her chairmanship in January 2023 when former California Republican Chairwoman Harmeet Dhillon challenged her in the RNC election. McDaniel survived despite a strong challenge, but only to bring the RNC bank balance to the lowest levels since 2016. In November 2023, the RNC reported that they only had $9.96 million on hand compared to the Democrat National Committee's $20 million on hand.

Trump seemingly is still on good terms with McDaniel, praising her success in flipping Michigan in 2016 via a Truth Social post the day of the meeting. "In my successful run in 2016, the State of Michigan really came through - First time in Decades that it was won by a Republican, and it was headed up by my friend Ronna McDaniel," Trump wrote. "Ronna is now Head of the RNC, and I’ll be making a decision the day after the South Carolina Primary as to my recommendations for RNC Growth."
With the 2024 election quickly approaching, Republicans must have the leadership and resources necessary to win in November. Ronna McDaniel has proven that she is ill-prepared to take on the challenges ahead for the Republican Party in the next ten months. Her decision to step down is the correct move, and it will hopefully allow the RNC to put up a formidable fight against the Democratic Party this year.

Very good news. I have been listening to Charlie Kirk, and the expose of Ronna's maladministration is beyond obvious. Time for Mitt's niece to leave.
